Saturday 5/14 - Boy Scouts are invited to camp with Pack 40 at "Camp Rajlich" 1294 County Road 2075 E, St. Joseph. Events begin at 4pm, dinner at 6pm. If you plan to attend, parents must provide transport there and back, take your own gear etc.
Tuesday 5/17 - We are going to the Parkland Planetarium for Astronomy merit badge. Leaving Scout Hall at 630pm sharp. We will need drivers. Bring a pencil or pen and flashlight with red plastic cover over the light and come prepared to work!
Friday 5/21 - Sunday 5/22 - Spring camporee at Northfolk Lodge & Outdoor Club near Danville. Leaving Scout Hall at 6:15pm. Let Mr. Fuqua know if you are attending.
Tuesday 5/24 - Troop will be placing flags for Memorial Day at the Mt. Olive Cemetery near Mayview. We are meeting at the cemetery at 6:15pm. Wear your Scout shirt for this event. We will have a very short ceremony and then place the flags. Adults are encouraged to help.
Tuesday 5/31 - Regular Troop meeting at 7pm. We will have Order of the Arrow elections. Board of Reviews will also be done for any Scout who needs to advance a rank.
Tuesday 6/7 - We are going to the Urbana Aquatics Center and leaving Scout Hall at 6pm. Bring your swim trunks and a towel. We will be doing the swim test for summer camp.
Tuesday 6/14 - Flag Day - meeting at 630pm at Scout Hall. Troop 40 will be retiring flags at Scout Hall and will also have a guest speaker for Disability Awareness Merit Badge. http://meritbadge.org/wiki/
Tuesday 6/21 - Court of Honor at St. Joseph Masonic Lodge we will start at 7pm.
Sunday 6/26 - Friday July 1 - summer Camp at Ingersoll Scout Reservation . Scouts attending are required to turn in a medical form (parts A, B and C) to Ryan Fuqua no later than June 21. Don't wait, your Scout cannot attend without this completed form and a copy of your insurance card. The form is attached.
Payment for Scout Camp is $300 and is now due.

Tuesday 7/19 - Regular meeting at 7pm in Scout Hall
- Both Mr. Fuqua and myself will be phasing out of Scouting leadership in early 2017. Though this may seem far off, it will be time for others to step-up and take the lead. Become involved with the Troop and we can get you trained. There are lots of roles in which one can help out at.
- In order for a boy to earn the Eagle Scout award, they are required to earn Camping Merit Badge, which requires 20 nights of camping with the Troop (weekends with mom and dad don't count). Going on camp outs is the only way to become an Eagle Scout.
- Thank you to Mr. Brian Wronke who has recently retired from being an Assistant Scout Master. He has been a wonderful leader for the Pack and Troop for many years. Please thank him if you see him.
